Top Analytics Reports for Bloggers

If you run a blog, DailyBlogTips recommends the Top 5 Google Analytics Reports for Bloggers. We’ve produced a quick dashboard using Nextanalytics for Excel to give you access to all this information in one quick overview, refreshed with the click of a button. You’ll see (1) the top traffic sources that your visitors are coming from, (2) which keywords are working best for both new and returning visitors, (3) your most popular posts and which ones attract new visitors the most, (4) the balance between new and returning visitors, and (5) where in the world they are coming from. As a rolling 7-day view, you can refresh it daily to keep on top of trends as they unfold.

To use the report, simply select the AccountInfo tab and enter your Google Analytics account information. Enter the email address and password you use to log in to Google Analytics in the top two boxes. If you have only one website/profile, you can enter the profile description and ID number on row 17. If you have more than one, enter the rest in rows 18 through 23.

To find your profile descriptions and numbers, login to the Nextanalytics Google Analytics Data Connector (available on the Nextanalytics menu in Excel when you install the product). For each account you have, the profile descriptions and IDs are listed in the middle drop-down control. Record this information and center it into the AccountInfo sheet.

Save your workbook, then click the Nextanalytics Refresh menu item at any time to query Google Analytics and update the report.
